Recently it seems that McKay has grown up by leaps and bounds. He doesn't seem like my baby anymore. After the Christmas holiday we moved McKay into Carter's room. They now share a room and a bunk bed. McKay LOVES it! It is easier for them to play together and even though they talk a little some nights, it makes me smile because I remember doing the same with my sister.
After Christmas time we also hit potty training. It is still an ongoing process. He has a potty chart that he gets to put a sticker on when he goes. So far he has earned a new book, a new puzzle (he is really into puzzles lately), and a lunch trip to McDonalds. He also gets M&Ms when he goes. We have to go BIG on the incentives to make it an incentive for him to go. He knows how to go now, it is just a matter getting him to tell us when he needs to go.
He has also been learning the letters of the alphabet. He is talking all the time now and loves to sing. I couldn't resist getting a video of him singing his ABCs. He is just getting so big and wants to do everything that Carter does. Where does all the time go?

That's so cute. Jackson can hardly wait for Mitchell to get big enough to do the bunk bed thing. Does McKay take naps still? If so, how do you do that?
PS--Does that mean Carter reads? Amazing! How did you teach him?
This can't be McKay!! He's too big!! He's so adorable t!!
I'm laughing at the post above mine...that's how I felt when I found out Carter could read. What Chad and Amy don't know is that he has been able to read since he was 3!!! Sorry, I had to toot his horn....he is just such an awesome little boy!! I miss him and McKay!!
McKay still naps and Carter "rests" in the guest bedroom while he sleeps. With Carter we started with letters, sounds, and then blends. Carter has a great memory. Also, I find the Leapfrog DVDs helpful.
