Carter's First Day of School

Carter had his first day of school yesterday. He was so excited! The day went well and he came skipping out of the door when I came to pick him up at the end of the day. He couldn't wait to tell me everything that he did that day. I think he is really going to love it. However, it will be a big adjustment for all of us not having him around in the mornings anymore.

Fiesta Texas

This past weekend we were able to join Bryce, Katie, and Briton for Dell Day at Six Flags, Fiesta Texas. It was so hot, but we had a great time and the boys loved all the rides. In fact, Carter rode his first real roller coaster twice! There were no tears, but at the end he kept telling me what a frustrating ride it was. It was too funny. Thanks for the tickets Bryce!!!

Family Time

We have had some good Larsen family time this past month. We were excited to welcome Bennett home from his mission in Norway. We drove up to the Dallas area to see him as soon as he flew home and enjoyed hearing all his missionary stories. The boys enjoyed time with Grandpa and Grandma Larsen and the rest of the family. Carter and McKay even managed to sneak in some swimming in the pool and a haircut before we left.

Quick Getaway

Us taking in a baseball game in Round Rock

McKay enjoying the sun at Sea World

The boys loved the dolphins!

Lamont and Carter getting dizzy in Sea World

We made a last minute decision that it would be fun to go up to Pflugerville, outside of Austin, and visit Bryce and Katie. We had a great time visiting up there even though it was short. Carter and McKay had fun playing with their cousin Briton. Katie and I took the kids to a water park during the day, while Lamont worked in a neighboring county. Then we all enjoyed a baseball game of the Round Rock Express vs. Salt Lake Bees that evening. The next day we headed down to San Antonio to enjoy some time at Sea World. We spent half the day at the water park and the other half watching the summer shows. It was a fun little get-away!

Swimming Lessons

Carter had his first set of swimming lessons the past two weeks. He loved every moment of it! He learned to float, swim with a barbell, and jump off the side. He was very proud of his abilities.

Beach Bums

We decided to enjoy a fun evening at the beach!!!

Which Boy is Which?

We've always thought McKay looks pretty much like Carter, just a two and a half years behind. Here's two pictures, one of McKay and one of Carter, both at about the same age. Can you tell who is whom?

"The Greatest Show on Earth"

Last week we took the boys to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. They each earned a free ticket from the summer reading program at the library and we thought it would be fun! They had a fun pre-show where Carter and McKay dressed up in clown costumes and got clown noses. The actual show consisted of a variety of acts. Lamont's favorite was the motorcycles, mine was the white tigers, Carter liked all the confetti and treats, and McKay liked the elephants.
